Institutional Projects

INSTITUTIONAL PROJECTS

Institutional projects involve constructing buildings for public, educational, healthcare, or governmental use, like schools, hospitals, libraries, and courthouses, focusing on long-term functionality, strict safety/accessibility standards, and serving community needs rather than profit, often funded publicly and requiring specialized design for public access and diverse functions.

Institutional construction generally describes projects intended for public use, such as educational institutions, hospitals, government buildings, and other public service facilities. In a way, this type of project is a “public” version of a commercial project.

Institutional: Designed for convenience, public service, and community impact (e.g., classrooms, public service areas).

Expand Construction have constructed several Institutional projects in its growth journey such as the Lee Kong Chian National History Museum at NUS housing three large dinosaur fossils and the Jubilee Whale that died and washed ashore on Jurong Island in 2015 – Singapore’s 50th Year of Independence. Expand helped in the transporting of the carcass to Tuas to deflesh and cleaning.

Expand also built the Singtel Waterfront Theatre; Energy Centre at Gardens by the Bay; Marina Bay Promenade; Orchard Road Pedestrians Walk etc.
